On the one hand, the CRAFT itself of acting takes a hit, cause now people are gonna write roles for specific characters based on their race/sex orientation/gender and have it locked. Its not like back in the day where a straight actor could play a gay dude and win an oscar, or a black actor could audition and take a role meant for a white actor like say Darth Vader, or vice versa like Neo was meant for Will Smith... it was based on who had the chops and who fit the role better

On the other hand, its good because now along with more representation comes more authenticity. No more cacs playing Ghengis Khan or Jesus, and no more having to Kiss a breh if you want to be recognized for your "gravitas" and range
