JJ Reddikk vs Adam Morrison revisited

Redikk's career has gone better than I think anybody expected. I feel like most people expected him to flame out, but he's been a contributor in this league and a VERY good role player particularly for the Clippers, even though he never became a star that nobody expected him to be anyway. He puts in the work though, so I'm not surprised. I think he was two years ahead of me in school, I remember watching Cave Spring play in a tournament we were in (never ended up playing them though) and I seen this dude practice on an off day, and this motherfukker hit something like 92 of 100 three pointers from straight away, and had me like

He's a very good defender, particularly for his level of athleticism and his build. He's proof that all of that "His arms aren't long enough", "He doesn't have enough speed", etc., excuses for guys being poor defenders is bullshyt.

I remember when Garrett Temple gave him the blues in the tournament game against LSU. He was the template for the type of defender he would face nightly in the NBA; long, athletic. I was convinced that he was gonna be exposed; all that dook did was run him through multiple screens to get that jumper off. He's put in the work; augmented his game by getting his dribble game good, and playing good defense. Even tho he's a dookie, I had to give him the and wouldn't even be mad if he wound up on the Knicks.

I never get why folks can't appreciate dudes that just ball out in college. Morrison was a monster at Gonzaga and was putting points up on everyone. His destiny was probably to be a star in Europe for 15 years instead of fighting to stay in the NBA

Morrison probably could have been a player who scored in the high teens and he looked as if he was headed that way till he fukked his knee up and lost the little bit of mobility that he had.
