My take on the situation.

Pac was warned a number of times to be careful of hatian n jimmy. He never listened. Pac liked that there were legit gangsters (they were also snitching), pac was a real dude but he weren't in streets like that.

When they tried to extort pac was like fukk you, because he was a real dude.

Then they hit him with that fake rap charge.

Then pac start dissing them

They wanted to discipline pac for dissing them/avoiding extortion.

Things didn't go as planned and he was shot.

Did biggie know? I don't think so. But biggie was a in a weird situation. If the tables were turned I think biggie would have sided with biggie because tupac was just like that fearless. But biggie couldn't do that. Hatian jack/jimmmy could have offed him or his family for tryna ride against him.
