COD was the end of the world for literally dozens of shooter IPs lol.

I know most of yall dont play shooters, but just take a second and ask yourself where games like Medal of Honor and Brother's in Arms went, or why the biggest shooter IPs like Halo and BF spent so many resources trying to replicate COD mechanics into their games (both of those IPs are in the gutter too).

Even their next biggest competitor, Apex Legends, is literally a studio made up of ex COD developers lol. And even they have been struggling to compete (cant even get cross progression or 120hz working).

Huge difference and I’m tried of folks acting like it’s comparable.

Sony buying and further developing small studios with a few games under their belt is simply not comparable to MS buying Bethesda and ActiBlizz.

That’s a wild break down when you think about it.

Microsoft almost has half of the Western 3rd party developers. I can see why Sony would be mad because they can’t play ball at this type of level. But they can always continue to make great games and still sell like Nintendo. I think call of duty being exclusive to game pass would hurt the brand a lot and also the quality.
