It’s not about being close, 50 and Cam were a part of that transgression. The only reason they’re even able to bring it up is because Jim either stupidly or willingly took the bait from 50. He looked like a clown immediately after he did that and he looks like even more of a clown over a decade later with those two laughing at him together. I didn’t watch the interview so I don’t know who brought it up first. But not sure what type of marketing boost 50 was gon get from having Cam talk about some old shyt.
It’s pretty obvious that Cam was over the whole Dipset shyt when Jim and Juelz pulled that move. Perhaps even before that. But he don’t owe them shyt beyond putting them on in the game which he did. Cam clearly moved on and Jim never stopped being that same Dipset hypeman fanboy that felt validated by the movement. Even then, he’d do appearances with the man knowing he already moved on from that phase.
Like I said, if Cam and 50 talking about what happened in that moment they have the right to. And this the first time it came up in years, Jim is the one flying off the rails instead of acknowledging that he was a useful idiot. Mind you, I’m not 100% on Cam’s side because he handled a lot of this shyt horribly which is how this even happened in the first place. With that said, Jim was a clown for that and will be clowned as such
