this the most NY sounding post lol.
šŸ˜„ šŸ˜„ glad you picked that up, my friend

but really though... this was during the era (after ether) when jay made it a point not to get involved in conflict and be more aloof

a couple of shady sideways lines over time does not mean he ever really got into it with jim jones

jim jones deserves all the credit in the world for making the money he has done through hard work and relatively little talent but i can't see many respected artists thinking it's a good look wasting time 'battling' him cos he's so musty and lower level

respect to him though

actually Jim did start it. him saying that shyt about push not being top 50 on a public form is pretty much the equivalent of what push did at that fashion show.
someone here said it was a political move to try get with drake

that is plausible as a move from a guy who sided with 50 over Cam

I'm so confused. There weren't a couple of shady lines over time. It was Pusha directly responding to Jim, this "dusty nikka" saying Pusha isn't in his top 50.

And this irrelevant, trash, dusty, etc nikka saying this somehow got Push so in his feelings that he'd recording a whole verse shooting at him during a primetime, only once moment.

Ya'll nikkas can't praise him for releasing the record during his man's first LV show and then turn around and act like that meant absolutely nothing and yimmy is crazy for responding.

Either it's a flex or it wasn't. Either it was him stunting or Jimmy is crazy for responding. Y'all cant have both

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
If push swerved more into the Squarish VA rapper who made Arby's jingles, he probably would have made multiple hit records while not taking a loss on his actual style..

He is a bench player on the Juco league drug dealer team that tries to rap like he was in D1..

Thats why the music has the vibe it does.

Like someone trying to convince you they made their cornbread from scratch after you see the jiffy box in the trash

Which is why he is so appealing to the hipsters..

Even if you listen to nikkas like ross/wayne, you can tell they at least hung around nikkas who were big dogs because the raps "add up" in the culture's ear...
This is really dumb cause their manager was an international cocaine trafficker who now hates P but still admits he was active in the process. Just the middle man. Thatā€™s why Drake says heā€™s a middle man but never says he never sold anything. Why Drake doesnā€™t get that dude on a record is beyond me. That would kill Pushaā€™s persona. But I guess he either ainā€™t gonna do it or Drake hasnā€™t thought of it yet

Jim Jones started it by baiting Push for months. All we heard was a QUIP of an unreleased track, not even a full song that was an alleged shot at Jim Jones on a walk way. Rappers always throw subtle shots at rappers. That's not a real battle. It's not a song that's even released.

actually Jim did start it. him saying that shyt about push not being top 50 on a public form is pretty much the equivalent of what push did at that fashion show.
Baiting for months is crazy :mjlol:

Jim is an elder-statesmen rapper and borderline media personality at this point it was his opinion that Pusha is not top 50 and thereā€™s nothing wrong with that dude is not that guy where heā€™s a top 50 lock.

Nas took 3 months to respond to Takeover.

Thereā€™s no deadline on get back.
That was in 2001 where social media wasnā€™t prevalent and we waited months for interviews via TV or magazines , the guidelines changed and you know that nice try though
