This is pretty reachy...

I wouldn't expect an old white guy who's mostly made rock-inspired music since the 80s to be a hip-hop fan, or to even have listened to enough of it to draw a real opinion on it. It's kinda hard to envision the guy who does the WWF music in '94 sittin' and listening to 'Illmatic' or some shyt :mjlol: Hell, I don't even expect most 60-something-year-old black people to know or like hip-hop.

I'd put a lot of it down to man's age. My own ma doesn't fukk with much hip-hop post Planet Rock. She's still playing old Kurtis Blow vinyls and shyt :russ:

The "b-b-but Eminem is different" shyt will always be suspect though

This. And the Eminem shyt is probably only because of how media and white folks in general took songs like "Stan" and put them on a pedestal...

But 60+ folks in general, unless they were on board very early (and therefore likely black and 20-something at the time)... you ain't gonna find a lot of big hip-hop fans. They the aunts and uncles that used to make us cut that shyt off at the birthday party with "all that cussin" :russ: You ain't gonna see a bunch of senior citizen hip-hop fans for another 10 years.

He said he doesn’t like rap because of the negativity, gratuitous sexuality, and that rappers don’t have anything broader to say

:mjtf:

But he loves Eminem and linkin park for their great story telling

Yeah, I think even Stephen A says he doesn't really fw Hip Hop, mostly old school R&B, Hip Hop is the #1 genre today but some people just don't fw, it is what it is.

Also I agree, if a white favorite hip hop rapper list mostly includes Eminem, NF, Joyner Lucas, Logic, and MGK, it's a dead giveaway.

Vince McMahon and Cripple H hate rap too..lol. Stephanie? Probably now but she's so engulfed in that Republican white lifestyle, she lost a backbone in her teens.

Yea they hid a lot of their true intentions. But look at some of their storylines, a good amount of them have racist undertones in them.

He gave the typical white guy response ("I don't like rap, but I like Eminem"), but as a talented composer/producer who spent years working with various genres of music (including rap), he should know better than that. To stereotype all rap music as that and single out the most prominent white rapper in history as someone that goes against that stereotype is a horrible take for someone in his position. Especially in this current climate.

He's lucky he's not more famous or he would have been sliced up on social media. :mjpls:

CeGOAT disagrees
