Jim Carrey is considering retiring from his decades-long acting and comedy career.

“Well, I’m retiring. Yeah, probably. I’m being fairly serious,” Carrey, 60, told “Access“Thursday after being asked about his thoughts on Dolly Parton wanting him for a movie.

“I feel like — and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists — I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough,” he added.

When host Kit Hoover pressed whether he was actually serious, Carrey explained that it would take something extraordinary to reel him back in.

“It depends if the angels bring some sort of script that’s, you know, written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break,” he doubled down.

“I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life,” he shared.

However, he did note that if Parton, 76, seriously approached him about a role, he would hear her out.

“I would always speak to Dolly,” he said, calling the country music superstar “another worldly talent that is just bigger than you can imagine.”

The actor’s latest movie, “Sonic the Hedgehog 2,” hits theaters on April 8 and, if he is in fact serious, could be his last.

Carrey also used the opportunity to plug his upcoming NFT project, coming in April, called Magic Hour. He described it as “a mix of painting and spoken word that delves into my existential musings.”

“Hollywood is just spineless en masse, and it really felt like this is a really clear indication that we aren’t the cool club anymore,” he told Gayle King in a “CBS This Morning” interview Tuesday.

Carrey added that he would have sued Smith, 53, for $200 million if he had been in 57-year-old Rock’s shoes.

He doesn't want to do adult, violent movies anymore
Remember he trashed Kickass 2, a movie he's in, during its the promotional tour and there's only so many Sonics he can do
He's probably getting offered plenty of roles that require violence or guns and he doesn't want to do that any longer

Kinda took him for granted as a kid. Ace Ventura 1 & 2, the Mask, Batman Forever, Liar Liar, etc.. it was just the norm in the mid-late 90s that Jim Carrey would have something cooking in theaters. Bruce Almighty was probably the last of his stuff i watched now that i think about it (i caught glimpses of the Grinch when it aired on cable), up until Sonic the Hedgehog.

Saying he had a hell of a run is an understatement. Good for him if he can retire peacefully.

Jim Carey is most known for his physical comedy....the looney stunts, the funny faces and quick reflexes. You can't do that, when you are 60. Also, dude been lowkey semi-retired. Last movie he did before the sonic franchise is a weird small movie in 2016 called Dark crimes that nobody went to see and got 0% on rotten tomatoes.

He had a good run, but he ain't really been out there like that.
