I wasn't alive during the times I mentioned in my post. But my parents were in the civil rights movement and man they have talked about those late 60s and early 70s countless times.

My dad is like a historian so growing up it was nothing for him to drop some jewels on me. He actually knew a lot of folks in the multiple civil rights movements in chicago. Dude just has a photo graphic memory and remembers dates and events well.

Actually a white kat he went to college with was at the democratic national convention in Chicago in 1968 when the protestors and cops clashed.

I ended up doing a interview with him in high school for class.

Breh the stories that old white kat had about that convention. Man those riots over those few days make the shyt we done seen the last few years look like a cake walk.
