Jewelz is fire...but IWW is near my top 10

I always say Nas never again reached the lyrical highs he reached on IWW. That nikka was just showing off at that point with the flow and word play.

As it's my world. Was arguably the best lead single for an album that year. That is so otherwordly classic good.




That the album never lives up to the quality of the lead single.
Nor does it followup.
the content rich almost perfect classic from oc's debut.

Just descends jnto a commercial sellout direction.
That just does not equal any of the output of Illmatic. Plua culturally opens a rabbit hole slash black hole. Of which hiphop culture and rap ss a business has never recovered from.

it was written is honestly better than illmatic and outside of street dreams theres nothing really even commercial about it ....because it had lauryn and it was scuessfull doesnt mean it was a negative

IWW is the best album of 96. Nas was literally the PERFECT rapper on that album. Fire features, cinematic production, the only misstep is the hook on Nas is Coming but even that has aged well for me.

It always blows my mind that nikkas were hating on it was written era nas. That was his peak to me

That's what they did back then. He went Shiney suit with all that trackmasters beats . I liked the album tho . That was really Nas into to modern America

Damn these are literally two of my favorite albums. I honestly play Jewelz way more than I play IWW in present time but the songwriting on IWW is top tier. I just enjoy Jewelz as a cruising around album way more.
