These aren't even the first sequels. The movie is loosely based on Jean Shephard's life, which he wrote about in a few books and magazines. I recall a 80's Disney Channel sequel with Jerry O'Connell as a teenage Ralphie. He had a summer job with Flick and Schwartz at a moving company. There were also PBS funded movies from the 70's and one right before A Christmas Story Came out. I believe that one had Matt Dillon. I think I saw that one on the Disney Channel too, and Ralphie is going on a date with his friend's sister. I forget if the friend is Flick or Schwartz.
