Personally I won't speak on him as a whole one way or the other, cause most folks would and do do this. But as an action I think it lacks integrity.

The rap community really represents black people as a whole: great logic. I'm from NY and many black people didn't fukk with trump after he publically condemn the central park 5.
A few rappers is not "the black community". Lots of Black people were shytting on him hard long before 2006, especially his employees and people in communities that he had fukked over. The problem in New York is that he had a lot of power (both money and at times political connections) so too many people were incentivized to look past that shyt for strategic reasons.
It's bullshyt and you shouldn't do it, but it's also the tradeoff most people make (and most posters admit themselves that they would make).
