I can see it working.
As much as I personally detest Jesse Eisenberg (because his face annoys the fukk out of me), the dude is a pretty good actor.
He is short as hell though...everyone is going to be towering over him which leads me to believe that the boy genius billionaire route is the way they are going with this character.

Eisenberg is 30 in real life and so is Cavill.

They're gonna make him the nerdy "Boy Genius" Lex Luthor who is intimidated by the Man of Steel. It's lazy as fukk and transparent and corny.

It took a little thinking over, but Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor makes a lot of sense. Zach Snyder as director still doesn't though.
And one good thing is that this should pretty much be the nail in the coffin of all those rumor/gossip sites that keep claiming they have the scoop on this movie because nobody (and I mean no-fukking-body!) had any inkling that Jessie Eisenberg was going to be cast as Lex. There weren't even any stories about him auditioning or having meetings or anything.
I doubt they go with nerdy. I bet they go with a$$hole like he was in the Social Network except multiply the attitude and ego by a billion.
