Defense? My view on Kobe has evolved in recent years. I'm not saying it's a blowout, but this is a clear decision for me to make.

I will be 33 tomorrow, and can and will argue this and I've shytted on Kobe more than I've supported him. I've watched Magic, Kobe is the better player. I'm not going to let nostalgia and rose-tinted glasses obscure what is very apparent.

I can understand people saying Magic given his impressive body of work, I didn't get to see Magic so naturally I'ma go with Kobe he's the Magic of my era more or less except with a much more unique career path than probably any NBA baller.

To me, Kobe is truly the greatest Laker if/when he gets enough titles to surpass Boston for titles. I think that, 5,000 playoff points, and maybe 3rd on the all time scoring list is enough to give Kobe the throne as GOAT player of the stupendous GOAT franchise.
