I can't believe this thread is short.... This shyt was hilarious, his delivery is unconventional but I like it. Maybe I can relate because I'm not passionate about causes and shyt.... But this was some funny shyt. Best stand up I've seen since Deon Cole's Cole blooded seminar

He kind reminds of Patrice with the way he isn't afraid to audience into some dark territory and let them stew in it a bit before it's uncomfortable. 8 was a big step up from his 1st special. Which was good but a lot of rough patches.
yeah when he was talking about not really caring it def reminded me of Patrice's "Cant Care" bit.

I don't mind his pacing, though hes creating those moments for awkward silence, but it seems to be on purpose, though I think that can be an alienating factor.

I think if he picked up the pace a TINY bit, sort of like between what hes doing now, and say, how methodical Anthony Jeslnick is, he'd really become something on the stage.

btw if Carlin and Pryor were alive today, dudes would just be like everyone else shytting on Trump, not even trying to tell jokes on twitter anymore. as Chapelle alluded to, and i said, Trump murdered comedy.

... that being said, haven't watched Chapelle's new specials yet.

The Land That Time Forgot
We now have a new generation of working Black or biracial comics, who are successful without having a meaningful Black fanbase:

Jerrod Carmichael

Hannibal Burress

W. Kamau Bell

Trevor Noah

Key & Peele (until the success of "Get Out")

This might be a form of "progress," I suppose. But they aren't my cup of tea, though.

I liked it but something about him is kind of off putting and this brand of comedy might not be for me.

Examples of c00n shyt? I never got that feeling from him. Maybe some arrogance at time but c00ning? Nah....

He should've named it 6. As in 6/10.

This was merely OK. And this is coming from someone who used to stan for him heavy.
