The whole thing makes no sense. If Jermaine knows that Puff wasn’t on the boards then why would he even bother with Puffy? How could that be a proper showcase of his talent? Yet he’s thirsty for this battle. What this really about is having to play second fiddle all these years to an impresario who took your emmo and became known the world over. You ask a random person walking down the street if they know Diddy then ask a random person if they know Jermaine…I would totally see why Puffy wants Dre. Yes Puff is looking at this from a Fame VS Fame standpoint. He doesnt think JD is on his level in terms of fame and popularity which is true....But if you go with written and produced songs...I give JD three with Usher, Three with Mariah and 2 with Nelly....thats 8 right there and I thought about it for less than a min....I think Puff wins 11-9 or 12-8 but its not like Puff saying...Puff has to throw his arms up and get emotional to make people believe him...Puff is great at throwing a party but JD built the building the party is in.

It’s like this. Since last year Diddy said he wouldn’t do Verzuz unless it was with Dre. Since last year JD been calling Diddy out. This year after the I believe Fat Joe and Ja Verzuz. JD called Puff out again. Puff responded on some “while I respect what u do u not messin wit me in Verzuz ya arms too short to box etc etc..U dont got enough joint to mess wit my Biggie and Mary J catalog etc etc..” which I felt was kinda wrong cause JD got joints and can def hang. Not on some hip hop shyt but def RnB. Fast forward. JD still calling Diddy out. T.I. annoying ass got involved talkin bout some East Coast bias bullshyt which had nothing to do with anything but u know how he do. Puff responded to T.I. on some “why u making it about that u turning something that’s supposed to be fun into something else..” T.I responded to Puff wit the same ol inferiority complex bullshyt tryna sound smart. Fat Joe, Snoop, and JD was on IG Live and JD requested to call Diddy up to press the issue even more. I guess they didn’t expect Diddy to answer but Diddy answered. But Diddy was like “u know what? Since u want this so bad we can go 5 for 5 right now!. I play 5 and u play 5. Wassup?!…” So Diddy start droppin joints on the Live and JD talkin bout some “let’s get the paperwork first..etc etc..” acting like he was too big to drop joints. Puff was like my nikka u gotta show and prove what’s good I’m right here? JD called Victory mediocre Snoop and Fat Joe was like nikka u buggin. Lol. They was telling JD to drop some music cause Puff was droppin back to back joints. Had both Snoop and Joe dancing on the live. JD didn’t wanna do it and then started talkin bout some ATL shyt and Diddy was like “don’t do that. I got love ATL it ain’t about that..” JD still was refusing to drop shyt so they was goin back n forth talkin shyt and by the time JD played Confessions Puff already done dropped like 4 or 5 joints. He was then on some like “yo u played yaself I don’t have time for this..”. Lol. Now JD going on an interview campaign acting like Puff ain’t worthy cause he ain’t a writer and he shouldn’t have to play records cause Puff asked him to. Then making it about some South vs NY shyt u know the default ATL excuse. THATS when he started listing his credentials but I’m like nikka if u feel that way why u so thirsty to battle Puff in the first place? Why don’t u battle a nikka u feel that’s on ur level? U can’t call a nikka out and then when it’s time to show and prove u act like u too big to drop records. That’s basically where we at.
Just explaining to my husband that puffy is an executive producer. He put everything together which is still a big deal cuz he got an ear for a hit. Puffy will always be top tier for me just off of what he did with uptown but y’all not gonna act like JD not in the same tier cuz he is. Puffy need to apologize but this is how he is so he won’t. If we put exec producer vs exec producer, I still think diddy would win but it would be a good watch for the fans and I don’t think it would be a blow out.if puff added a whistle or him doing adibs he prodbly got a producer credit.. if he picked the beat or sample he got a credit.. if he was in the room he probly got a credit.. Hit man made the beat he got a credit for it... he's more Exec producer then producer
