That doesn't make sense. A lot of marriages don't even last that long nowadays and he has the girl on a waiting list. I feel like those sort of people don't want to get married but they propose because they think it's what the other person wants or they've run out of ideas in the relationship and they think it's the "next step" but there's no way I'm being engaged to someone that long. shyt is silly. Your friend must be doing some otherworldly shyt to her for her to be sticking around for so long (plus chase after the dude for a decade). I also don't know how dude deals with the money factor. Whether people want to admit it or not money does have an effect on the dynamics of a relationship. Women get really disrespectful when they feel dudes aren't pulling their weight or "providing". I grew up watching my uncle get shat on by my aunt because apparently he wasn't shyt and she didn't need him and dude was a damn chartered accountant. He was making some good money, he lived pretty regular and dude (obviously) knew how to save and my aunt was still talking shyt. I can't put myself through that shyt.
