How's race relations and the cost of living? People have strong protection of their freedoms?

1. Better in big cities and the North than the South. Sound familiar? Lol. There has been some discontent with African migrants but from what I hear its not substantial. Idk.
2. Cost of living..it depends. Its not easy to live there but you can find some furnished apartments to live in at reasonable cost. Immobiliare.it is a site if u want to peruse for shyts and giggles.
3. Legal system is very different. They hate frivolous shyt. There is little police presence. For instance, if youre speeding u probably wont get pulled over and just get a ticket in the mail instead. I havent heard any complaints with freedoms there.

Food and aesthetics are A1. The rest is a crapshoot

Sounds encouraging. If free speech, due process, search and seizure, and double jeopardy are the sort of things protected, it should be solid. Lack of killer cops and mass incarceration would certainly be nice. The weather is good? Food and aesthetics go without saying. I grew up on Italian food all cooked from scratch and my grandmother has been telling me to see Rome for years. Had an old drinking buddy in Florida from there who said the same thing.
