I always felt like she was one producer away from being something revolutionary for the female MC movement.

Everywhere...You never there.
Aside from Jeanius, those are all largely forgettable. And i should know. I own them all and can't recall anything other maybe a Beatminerz beat off one. Her voice actually sucks too.

But arguing about female rapper is silly since 99.9% of them suck.

MC Lyte has a better discog but I'm assuming you're one of those if it happened before 1998 it doesn't matter cats.

Invincible & Rah Digga both are better on the mic and have better album semi recently than Jean. Tiye Phoenix has a better album than Jean as well.

Attack is damn near classic. :usure:

Nah, i've fukked with Jean since the 'Negro League Baseball' cassette tape, but Attack was disappointing. I honestly cant remember not 1 song from it anymore at this point.

I'd say that "Taco Day" is classic. & Immortal Technique's "You Never Know" is classic (she get credit for that even if she just singing the hook). "Hands On Experience" with Kool Keith is a lightweight classic. & that Natural Resource 12"/cassette was classic. so she do legitly got some underrated classic moments in hiphop.
but never much enjoyed any of her albums. Bootleg Of The Bootleg EP with the mixtape hidden on the end was the closest.

(also "Black Girl Pain" with Talib was great, "Darkest Night Ever" is a underrated epic storytelling joint too. & even "Base 4 Ya Face" with Lil B & Phonte might be a lightweight modern day epoch)

just checked her wikipedia & apparently she dropped a GANNNGG of shyt these past couple years. i heard of the "Cookies Or Comas" mixtape at least but didn't get around to listening, the rest of em I aint ever heard nan thing about:
Cookies Or Comas mixtape
Dust Ruffle (10-track project features unreleased songs from between 2004 and 2010)
Gotham Down Cycle 1: Love in Infinity (Lo-Fi) EP
• Gotham Down Cycle II: Leviathan EP
• Gotham Down Cycle 3: The Artemis Epoch EP
Gotham Down Deluxe (all 3 EPs combined into one)

That's Not How You Do That
The State of Eh, an audiobook.
• jeannie. EP
#5 EP

^^ honestly that's enough potentially mediocre material I'm a lil scared to start. anybody wanna vouch what's the best of these recent shyts?

She almost had it with 9th Wonder IMO. If Jeanius had dropped when it was recorded and they didn't have to go back and add live instruments in and shyt. I still don't know why that Phoenix sequel never came out. it was dope.

I kinda think Rapsody is the next one. Rap and Jean have a dope song together too and Khrysis killed the beat. Jean is raw. If you wanna skip to Jean's verse it starts right at 1:59.
