JD Vance doesn’t think women should be able to divorce abusive husbands.

Not clicking but did he really say abusive husbands or are nikkas using edge cases to excuse the typical "I saw an IG post and now im not happy" which is most modern divorces now lol

And wtf does abusive even mean anymore? because we see the word and assume wife beater but now there is the new remix of emotional abusive which can mean literally whatever you want it to mean.

People who are like this are playing with fire. Keeping people in unhappy marriages for any reason in the information age is crazy.

In case yall forgot alot of men back in the day were being poisoned or set up to be killed by their wives. Some of y'alls grandpa's didn't leave and never come back. Some of them got snatched up.

aight..

If you did click the link, not only would you not make this trash take, but you'd see that even Vance didn't take it this far :hhh:
His actual take was his just as creepy obsession yet again with the nuclear family  apparently divorce is as easy as changing clothes and the children always get fukked up by it :coffee: even dudes who initiate the divorce caught a stray with this line, but I guess the tweet poster had to get more clicks by telling half the story :yeshrug:

Sounds like something you would read on here

No lies told :francis:

What if we added a clause to it like the wife gets to schedule a 1v1 match at the end of the week to determine who runs the house. She can choose to fight herself or swap in a replacement of her choosing

He basically said it without saying it.

“These marriages were MAYBE violent but CERTAINLY unhappy and so getting rid of them and making it easy for people to switch spouses like they change their underwear will make people happier in the longterm. And maybe that worked for mom and dad, although i’m skeptical, but it certainly didn’t work for the kids.”

his tone sounds like he doesn’t think the so called sexual revolution helped women get away from violent relationships as much as it did just allow people to jump in and out of marriages at their own whim. But his words also dismiss that physical violence takes place and women should have autonomy to end those marriages based on that factor.

This clip proves that JD Vance is a subpar orator with a terrible knack for coming off like a dikk at best and a woman’s rights loathing barbarian who feels that a man being able to physically BEAT a woman simply because their married is a small price to pay just to make sure we have more “nuclear families” at worse.

yeah this is the issue with these convos. The extremes get used as the arguing points which takes away from focus on the legit issues being that one side is trying to dismiss the other.

If a Man brings up how wacky divorce is now a days then he gets dismissed as excuse an edge case of physical abusers (because if this was the majority then the divorce states would reflect this).

Same way a chick can say she got raped and a dude can say "well why were you dressed like a whore" or "did you sure you didn't act like you wanted sex?"

Any one who doesn't want to admit Family law and the associated stats are out of wack are fukking fools, but acknowledging these things also is not excusing the exploitation of potential loopholes in law.
