I'm honestly flabbergasted why this kid isn't getting more hype. He should be in discussion to go #1 overall. You all know I love Lonzo Ball and think he'll be the best player from this class. Well Jayson Tatum is right there with him and honestly he probably has the higher ceiling. These two are 1a and 1b on my list. There are two transcendent players in the 2017 NBA Draft and those 2 players are Lonzo Ball and Jayson Tatum.

If I'm the Lakers, I do everything in my power to try and get BOTH Lonzo Ball and Jayson Tatum in this draft. I've said this before, I would try to package D'Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram to the Sixers for the #3 pick. Lonzo Ball is obviously a better player than D'Angelo Russell. And Jayson Tatum is worlds better than Brandon Ingram. A trade like this should be a no-brainer for the Lakers. And it would set them up to be a championship contender in the future.

The most hilarious thing in all of this is the fact people think Josh Jackson is better. This simply boggles my mind. Tatum is taller, longer, more skilled, and a over a year younger. So you know he has a higher ceiling and more room for growth. I find it humorous that the fact Josh Jackson is already 20 years old is just being glossed over.

The 2017 NBA Draft is all about Lonzo Ball and Jayson Tatum. No one else even registers.

-His defense sucks

-He shot 30% from 3 at Duke and was a generally streaky shooter

-He was scoring on slow college 4's
Athletic wings like Isaac and Adel were giving him that work

-Not an elite athlete, just solid

-Pretty much useless if he's not scoring

Agree with that part they should trade Dlo for Tatum I think he's the perfect it next to Ingram. I've also seen people say the Lakers are trying to trade for a second top 10 pick. I don't think he's a superstar unless he gets better on defense and shooting but I think he can be exceptional offense talent.

This is what happens when you go by numbers alone. You can just tell JT has it...By what you're saying he is absolute garbage and should fall to the damn 3rd round.

Damn near the whole defense portion of isaac's dx breakdown video is just him stealing the ball from Tatum over and over again. :mjlol: Like you'd think they played each other 10 times this year it happened so much

1. Tell me what college kid comes in and is a great defender right off the bat? Tatum is long and a decent athlete. He has the potential to be a good defender.

2. 3-point shooting is the easiest thing for a player to improve at the next level.

3. And what type of athletes are D'Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram? Both went #2 overall. Jayson Tatum is more than good enough as an athlete to be a great player in the NBA.

5. Tell me for a second....what does Kyrie Irving do but score? I find it humorous that a great one on one scorer is being dismissed like its nothing. Scoring one on one against a set defense is the hardest thing to do in basketball. That's why its so valuable to have a player like Tatum on the team. A guy who can get buckets whenever he wants.

Think what happens in college has any relevance to the NBA.

And for the record, I like Jonathan Isaac as well. He's 3rd on my list after Tatum and Ball.

Isn't he a pretty good facilitator / passer or am I bugging? Seems like he had good potential

So Tatum isn't an inconsistent shooter? :what:

Then there is no reason to take Tatum over Josh Jackson.
