I don’t think that. I think Jay will always be connected to the industry. He’s like the bridge between the elite and the lower people. 50 is smart he already announced his last tour so you know there will probably be no more music. He basically crossed over into film. It’s crazy about how they blocked that move in Shreveport. Jay will be the last gatekeeper in music to basically supervise the rappers. Puff not getting out. 50 done in music. Kanye seen as crazy.
In all seriousness, I’d trust 50 to handle business better. It would just feel more hands on and you know 50 just knows how to touch people more. Jay has built this brand on being above “low brow” shyt to the point where you gotta ask why he can’t even do the basic shyt. Beyonce struggled to even move Adidas merch. They’re not good at the merch game and we have enough evidence to show this.

Do they end up selling to bigger fools? Yeah, occasionally… I guess…but thats not really business success, is it?

I don’t care about that lol

To me if someone has hundreds of millions, they have hundreds of millions

Most of the people I know that has the most money personally created like 1-2 things and the rest comes from owning 800 buildings and hundreds of thousands of stocks and lots of land and a few public investments. And none of the mfers are JayZ lol

shyt when Diddy lawsuit dropped did you see how much shyt he really owned or had it name in? When LeBron mother was dating that Lambo did and he used to post on social media ALL the shyt LbJ was doing and taking him to, it was none if the stuff we saw on Brons IG - this nikka was taking yachts to other countries to check on their vineyards lol

I’m just saying a nikka that used the block video camcorder to record Dame and Beanie in 2002 and wasn’t even allowed to speak to JayZ and didn’t do anything with his life but talk about the same 2 nikkas he was around 22 years ago for 6months on low level podcasts can’t tell you or me shyt about a business or a owner a JayZ a Drake a Dame a Beanie a nothing :russ:
This has nothing to do with choke the reason I said he done bad while he was at Def Jam.

DMX came off multi platinum albums if you was retired how come his career wasn’t handled better while he was in charge at Def Jam?:jbhmm:

Nah, he owned majority shares in both Dusse and Armand.

Sold both for stupid pots of money tho
bruh he had to settle lawsuits cause they were robbing him. Thats not a “successful” exit in the conventional sense.

Did he make his money? Yes…but thats not really an example of success you want to promote.

I’m confused

Are we saying that he’s a bad busienss man because he mismanaged a Def Jam artist (or artists) that also didn’t get popping after him?

I thought we was talking about investments and business in general

All he doing is lending his influence to corporations. Jayz not about the culture he’ll show up and perform for Tom Brady and some cacs but not for BET and hip hop 50. Yet most of his nuthuggers come from that crowd. Dude about the bag he’s lending his fame and his influence out and cashing out. Those businesses just just his name as the co-sign. Jayz is basically the bridge between those corporations and the consumer.
dude gonna get a mega-minority stake in some NFL team then get on wax rapping about being kicking his feet up on Roger Goodell’s desk or some shyt :mjlol:

Dame was the brains behind Rocafella. He has a bachelors in Commerce. He made Jay-z, No Dame didn’t create the music. He was that pit bull that was able to make sure Jay didn’t get taken advantage on early in his career. Dames a smart business guy..

I think one thing that has worked for 50 is his image. Whether he’s been associated with boxing or acting. You can’t bully or punk 50. He’s authentic in regards to you can’t punk him. I think he learned a lot from watching the industry and soaking up game. But dudes don’t try him because of his street reputation. And 50 would honestly knock someone out.
