If you only see each other at award shows, industry events, tours, or court side at NBA games how are you friends? That's an association through business. They might see each other at the Grammy's, BET Awards, etc. All that adds up to like 5-10 times a year. They talk for a little, pose for pics, and go their separate ways. The people they hang out with casually on a regular basis are their friends.

Being cool with someone does not equal friendship just see the 50 and Puff pictures. The picture with Jay and Puff holding champagne glasses was at the Roc Nation Brunch. Everyone was there from Meek Mill to the Jonas Brothers.
