My older brother is in the 7 figures and I don't ask him for shıt. Just the way I was raised.

Now if we go out as family, the bill is lightweight for him plus we go to the members only events outside of my tax bracket.

I wouldn't ask for shyt but they can always ask me for shyt if they want. 7 figures and a billion is much different also, and i can always say no, sometimes i'll say yes a lot of times i'll say no, but i won't shame anyone for asking.

His cousin had a coli breh business plan.

bruh I can imagine the shyt jay or rich celebs hear from family. "let me put you on bro...rent a spoons my g....rent a spoons "

I remember 50 cent said he got uncle he can't stand...he would only see him at family gatherings, never gave him shyt, and always ask for money.

Thats the thing, he wasn't asking for a handout but actually had a plan. There was a Pac interview where he talked about success and he said people who get on should drop a rope over the side of the building to help their people up.

Sometimes that can look like $4800. Sometimes it can be listening and offering advice or contacts on how to make it happen... Thing is you don't know the context and situation but I still know I'd rather do push ups with Jadakiss over dinner with Jay Z because at least with my choice I could pitch the sitcom idea we all know needs to happen.

Yeah, I feel this.

When me and my college friends got together last year in Florida, my man Amin Elhassan came through and took care of the bill on a nice dinner we had. Of course he didn't have to do that shyt and none of our crew is broke, but we appreciated it. It wasn't on some "nikka YOU ON TV AND shyt, I KNOW YOU GOT IT!!" type steez.

I get it.

Somebody like Jay Z could easily handle a $5000 loss, but for somebody like a ball player, an up-and-coming actor, a businessman, or even a lottery winner, throwing money away like that will leave you broke fast. I had a cousin who used to play in the NBA, and he lost a lot of money on investments that didn't go anywhere.

And in Jay Z's example, the cousin isn't asking for it because they lost their job and they're struggling to pay their rent. They're asking for it as a business investment. If you're asking somebody for $5K as a business investment you better have a damn good sales pitch and a plan to turn a profit.
