I use to be a huge Jay-Z fan, but not anymore, and heres why: I don't like how he changes his style to fit in with current times. He says he never fell off, but thats only because he does practically everything possible to not fall off. Put it this way, he worked with Lil' Wanye...why? Because Lil Wayne is extremley popular.

Does he even like Lil' Wayne? Probably not, but thats how desperate Jay is to stay relevant. He worked with Drake because Drake was huge in 2009. I feel like Jay will do anything to sell, thats what hes all about first and foremost. And I understand music is a buisness but its just gets old when a guy will constantly keep saying Im the king and I never fell off..:stopitslime: If Cam'ron or DMX or any 90's new York rapper did their singles with Rihanna and kanye West they would still be popular today. If Nas did his singles with the Pharrell, Kanye, Rihanna, Drake etc. he would be alot more popular today. Why do these guys choose not to be like Jay-Z? Because they arn't obsessed with money and power like Jay-Z is. They don't care if they are the biggest rapper alive and the richest rapper alive.

Jay-Z is a great rapper and a great buisness man, good for him, but its hard for me to root for him now, because I don't like greedy people.

Basically this translates to: fukk Jay for being rich and successful.

I get where you're coming from, but I have no affiliation with Jay and I don't know Jay the person. I just press play and enjoy the music, I'm not deterred to like an artist because of their lifestyle and intentions; I dislike artists cuz their music sucks.

Can't knock the hustle :manny:

I'd like to hear a Jay-Z album where he rhymes like Common Sense, even though it don't make as many dollars or sense. He can afford it, thats for sure, but instead he'll comeback with some pop music

I'm not mad at Jay-Z for being rich and successful. I'm happy for him, but how many millions does one man need? How about start making music from the heart, instead of always doing what the cool thing to do is? But Jay-Z wants a billy

Stop with that, Jay has never made an album reminiscent of Common.
People seem to forget Jay has been a braggadocio rapper since the beginning, why would he hit a conscious groove late in his career

Closest thing you'll get these days
