Think one of the issues was that it's the sole feature on blueprint, so you rock the whole album yourself but once you're on a track with someone else, you place second

Although I'm not enamored with the beat, track is super dope

To me they both did their thing on it, and I kind of hate that the concept of someone getting "murdered on their own shyt" jumped off from here (though don't get me wrong, it was a dope line from Nas) as a lot of people try to overdo it on collaboration songs now.

Em got him in a technical sense so yeah taking emotion out of it he barred hov tf up there was a clear gap in lyricism in that song. But don’t think I don’t know what y’all mean on hov verses being just as hard if not harder because of the content and tbh his verse is more quotable. shyt I still see do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it referenced to this day. Em’s Verse just not quotable you’re not walking around talking about going to war w the Mormons take it back to the Catholics in holy water no wonder they try to hold me under longer. They both rap about the same thing but I think hov got his message across better it’s lyrical but direct.
