Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
2008, jay came out of retirement and was trying to reinvent himself with these victory lap, lighter toned rap vocals and this humble beginnings verse while mocking jaz-o and people clowned him and his kingdom come album...and then he dropped american gangster and said never again and then went back to his braggadocios 'you can't compare to me' raps reiterating rich dad poor dad advice...if it wasn't for rival fanbases, certain fans may have let jay continue down this trajectory with ghetto techno and holy grail references/nirvana sing along appealing to white folk, lmao, but too many wolves doing commentary even back then

you would think that jay recorded his verse first just for nas to blindsight him but luda confirmed nas sent in his verse first and jay followed and didn't bring the heat

I don't even think I heard this album at all....I don't think I've heard a Luda album since 08.....worth checking out?

LOL. He's only dropped like two albums since 2008. Battle of the Sexes in 2010 and Ludaversal in 2015. Ludaversal is worth checking out if for nothing else than the intro and "This Has Been My World (Ludaversal)".

Weird era that was

I stopped checking for mixtapes as much as even two years ago, and the blog era was right around the corner if not already there

Hov verse was dope to me :ehh:

This was a dope album imo. Luda was low key one of the best rappers of the 2000s. He might have even been the best as far as consistency of albums, a few of them being strong contenders for album of the year :ehh:

I don’t think there has ever been a more disappointing collaboration then Nas and Jay-Z songs. You would think they would make amazing music together but all their songs fall short/disappointing.

Black Republican and Success go hard to me. I have absolutely zero issue with those two joints

However, BBC might be the worst collaboration between two legends i’ve ever heard
