I guess you're right. Certainly more rappers than rock acts though. The last 20 years rock music took a nosedive in quality and popularity, and they're running out of legends. You can't put Wang Chun or Hanson in there, or the credibility of the whole thing is done.
but it's not really a rock HOF anymore, it's all music - you'll have taylor swift, beyonce, blake shelton, etc getting in plus the backlog of 80's-00's rock/alt/grunge groups that aren't in yet and people like mariah aint even in yet. as of late, they only induct 4-8 artists/groups, they've got plenty of ammo
Rock and Roll HOF has basically always really been the Popular Music HOF. Half of the first class of inductees were Black Soul/R&B artists.
i know, which is why it should be renamed, especially since RnR has become synonymous with white people/white music. the name is problematic on multiple fronts (as is the selection committee/process)
