Nah he didn’t like him cause at the time him and dame was having a power struggle. Dame was actively allowing them to wild out and also propping them as the head of the other roc artist Without tell jay.

Cam and then never had no beef, was more a Proxy war fr.

Jay never was getting clowned in the mainstream fr, all the radio host, tv show people and djs was still on his dikk and playing his shyt.

And bp2 was bigger than come home with me in 02. Wasn’t a better album, but was bigger and sold more.
:russ: Seriously debating that kid

He got hate in his heart

Ballin becoming unescapable or Jim Jones beating up TyTy's twin brother in the LV store were the reasons for that

it started off with just when Jay was there because despite whatever was going on Juan still fukked with Cam and Jimmy but then it became very much zero tolerance on Dipset music. it stopped when Jim signed with Roc Nation.

Angela Yee used to tell a story of how their would be some night in the 40/40 every Monday and she told Freekey about it not long after he got out of jail and she said Freekey walked in and within five minutes he was escorted out the premises.. they used to hide behind the blanket ban Jim Jones had in nightlife in New York as an excuse but really Dipset just weren't welcome there.

they used to ask Cam about and he'd just go "why I would I go there ??"

I been twice. Once for a Ludacris album release party and for a random after work thing with a friend who worked @ Rocawear. Yeah, spot was over priced mainly, it's no better or worse than most spots.
I will say when I went to the after work with Rocawear a lot of Rocawear employees were relatives of Jay's or Brooklyn/Marcy hangers on. So that was interesting he really put his people on thru the clothing more than the music.
The Luda party was lame as hell. I think someone else put it best, people go in there with the expectation of hob nobbing with celebs when there aren't any. Diddy's spot Justin's was WAY better for that type of thing. I seen a few rap celebs in there on 3 different trips.

Is 40/40 still poppin'?
I was in NY for work back in 2019 and my hotel was right around the corner from the club. So went there to grab a drink on like a Wednesday or Thursday late evening. There were a few people there, not a lot. I think I remember the bartender talking about they just hosted a fight party there the previous weekend that was packed. May have been telling me that on some “it ain’t always dead in here” type of shyt. But yeah I remember the drink prices were steep.
