Watching Jay-Z concerts you realize why some hip hop fans hate when their favorite artist blows up...

You can see the reaction to certain records that he can't really do because his new fans don't know them.....It's interesting.

When an artist blows up they can lose the ability to the joints that their initial fans loved them for.....reminds me of that Outkast Coachella show.

That fukkin sherm head nas don't remember the lyrics to his singles how is he suppose to memorize the lyrics to his b sides :floyd:

Nas is my favorite rapper but his concerts are fukking pathetic.

He can't remember shyt...stumbles over lyrics.....everything is lined up right show wise, with the DJ and everything....but he just doesn't deliver.

I was AT the concert on Saturday. It was dope. Great moments but honestly the crowd was only about 10% hardcore fans, the rest was

Tickets were given out to people from a contest so it's not really actually hardcore fans but there were enough sprinkled in.

You guys are trippin' about Nas. I seen Nas 3 times and it has always been solid. Nas' recent stuff has been with live bands too with mashups. Oh, and I think Nas can definitely do a solid B Sides material. Probably because his best stuff aren't singles (LOL). (Illmatic + Lost Tapes alone)

The B Sides concept reminds me of Tunnel Hits.

During 'Exhibit C' it was interesting to see both Jays laughing about the 'When you gon drop that first Nikka you taking long' line. I wonder what's the real story there. I was under the impression Jay-Z was holding back the release of Jay Electronica's album.

Why? It's not like he's Wayne dropping freestyles and mixtapes screaming "Free my album!"

It's clear from Jay Elec's output and work ethic that it's clearly a delay on his end.

People forget that dropping an album comes with promo and marketing first.

What about Jay Electronica makes people think he's willing to stick to a strict itinerary, go to Hot 97, Breakfast Club, Power in LA and a myriad of radio stations in between, BET, MTV, Revolt, perform on Late Nigh shows etc. for 2 months +

Shrines in Peru need sweeping, he's a busy man :russ:
