Sample got cleared right? Everyone of your favorite producers has sampled. So they all thieves right?
DID IT get cleared?
and by whom? did they have the right to clear it? did Tim know if they had the right or not? if he can argue that. then the money issues may be left up to the person who cleared it on the shady.

Sounded like they mad because the lyrics were vulgar which breached their agreement. Either way all producers are "thieves" was my point. People in here acting like they don't all sample.

Ohhhhh shiiiiiiiiieeeet . . .brehs

Lawyers are cross examining Jay . . trying to establish that he broke the clause that prohibited vulgarity over the sample. In response, he's being vague

Well . . . in Jay's book . . (you know that bullshyt art coffee table book?) he mentioned how vulgar he sees the song in retrospect and he can't believe he did it

Looks like these lawyers aren't on their game
:ohhh:

the sample was cleared and everything was cool in the 90s and oughts, it's just a new generation of Ammar's progeny finding loopholes to try to come up

copyright shyt really needs to be overhauled

im cool with the original musicians getting something but millions or over half of all or all profits is preposterous

and this is just music it seems

im sure all the jew lawyers and the jew owned labels are incahoots to further bleed artists. all the money flows through jewish cronies. labels, lawyers, etc are all in the same circle.

why when people borrow in other artistic mediums they dont get sued like they do in music.

its amazing how producers cant come up with their own melody or beats.. i know thats part of hip hop, but damn... :upsetfavre:
hiphop is music appreciation. this is why when i was a little kid it baffled me how so many other people not just white, black jazz musicians were just hating on hiphop like that. due to it not being about playing instruments. I 'm like do yall understand hiphop is thee only genre that celebrates every single genre of music. it gives props ad sheds light on every genre of music, from classical, to country, to edm, to punk, to indie, to jazz, etc. on top of the fact its trying to put a little coin in an old artists/producers and old labels pockets by sampling their melodies/drums, etc.

hiphop could not come up with its own melodies because it was born out of poverty. broke kids have broke schools with little to no access to instruments(even in band class at times. they're playing fake drums with sticks on stools, its that bad in some spots.). so no instruments no melodies. all you have is a BEAT (anyone can click on a table, hit on a wall, locker, beat box). then someone realizes. wait a second those 25+ year old dudes are dj's in these clubs in the late 70's , early 80's. and they are like let me put this melody with my beat. BAM. HIPHOP.

this is why it will always be a black persons genre. its made from the black ghettos. We started making melodies the moment we started messing with keyboards heavy(not in NY, out west). Mc eiht did it to be honest. so did the group ATL(above the law). they really ushered in that keyboard play your own melodies. that doesnt mean they were the first. but they were the first to make it sound hot and people followed them for it.

Too short and Dangerous music played their own melodies. since he personally was tired of trying to clear samples and running into road blocks. he decided to put a team of session musicians together with a beat maker(Ant banks). and call it dangerous music. they were not sampling. listen to what short dawg is saying?

Some of yall saying that Hov is snitchin are obviously dumb as fukk, with no dollar sense. You would rather not tell the truth, and pay millions, for what ? Cuz it's what the streets would do right ? Naww...dusty ass street cats don't make million dollar decisions.

You know Hov is a business man. He's always been bout his dollars (what the fukk is 50 cent). He ain't bout to lose chips to save Timbo from not doing his job right. It's simple, Jay's job is the rap. Timbs job is lacing the beat. Plus, based on some of the articles I've read. It seems like Tim and Jay are just having fun with it (some of the dialogue). This is really a non-story, but ain't shyt poppin in hip-hop right now.

Did you or did you not say that an ANIMAL would say these sort of things?

Jay-Z On "Big Pimpin'" Lyrics: "What Kind Of Animal Would Say This Sort Of Thing?"
You know I – thug em, f*ck em, love em, leave em
Cause I don’t f*ckin need em
Take em out the hood, keep em lookin good
But I don’t f*ckin feed em
First time they fuss I’m breezin
Talkin bout, “What’s the reasons?”
I’m a pimp in every sense of the word, b*tch
Better trust than believe em
In the cut where I keep em
til I need a nut, til I need to beat the guts
Then it’s, beep beep and I’m pickin em up
Let em play with the d*ck in the truck
Many chicks wanna put Jigga fist in cuffs
Divorce him and split his bucks
Just because you got good head, I’ma break bread
so you can be livin it up? shyt I..
parts with nothin, y’all be frontin
Me give my heart to a woman?
Not for nothin, never happen
I’ll be forever mackin
Heart cold as assassins, I got no passion
I got no patience
And I hate waitin..
Hoe get yo’ ass in
And let’s RI-I-I-I-I-IDE.. check em out now
RI-I-I-I-I-IDE, yeah
And let’s RI-I-I-I-I-IDE.. check em out now
RI-I-I-I-I-IDE, yeah

Straight classic:whoo:
