Some of his most appreciated work (by his fans) is when he's personal . lol that's his whole fukking thing, he talks about his life and what he observes through his eyes.

Tracks like D'Evils, Regrets, Blueprint (momma loves me), Lucky me, Where is from, A week ago, Where have you been, this can't be life, Song Cry, Coming of Age, Real nikkaz etc.

Just because it was more street oriented doesn't mean that it wasn't personal

Agreed, and they're some of my favourite Hov songs, but they still fit in his "persona" if you know what I mean. This feels more like just Shawn straight up.

I far prefer this to the "daughter's socks" stuff of recent years.

All in all Solid Album definitely better than Magna carta. Feelin the fact that Hov is on that black empowerment and low key on that isrealite shyt.

The bars on 4:44 Hov showed me why he's one of the goats.

Then DDA and the Spiritual track he dropped he last year left me thinking...

Was Hova just gonna be like The Watcher, just appearing randomly and showing us why we believed in the first place.
