Track doesn't fit him and it feels like another throwaway from another artist. They've been doing this lazy shyt for years and typically it's stuff Kendrick passed on or did adlibs/melodies on. Q's single on his last album was a throwaway, they just added Travis Scott to it lol. It's like the label is perpetually stuck in 2017 trying to recreate DAMN-type tracks without...you know, Kendrick.

Zero news on the album after two singles and a mini press run. All the major labels are on stand-by waiting for Drake to drop, so who knows...

trash. gibberish. id say the beat found its way into the right hands.

reason said before that nothing came out on tde w/o goin through kendrick first. so he was essentially executive producing everything. personally, i dont wanna hear jay rock rapping like kendrick. but that's just me.

Lol it's a rough draft, so of course there is some gibberish bars in it just to establish the flow. Q killed it and did his thing to it though. He kept the "Get out the way" part from this too.

As for Jay Rock rapping like Kendrick you heard that

There is also a version of Kendrick rapping Jay Rock Money Trees verse. I remember hearing it but can't find it so don't hold me to that.

They took a lot of his ideas lmao. Even when Kendrick wasn't putting out music he was still working and giving his ideas to the other TDE artist including Jay Rock, Q and he did a hell of a lot for his cousin Keem too lol.

Kinda makes you wonder whether the burnout and writers block that led to Mr Morale was born from him effectively propping up his label with any scrap idea he had. Seems like there's a difference between giving a song/hook/bridge to someone else because it doesn't really fit what you want to do, and your label mining material you aren't even confident about in order to dole out to your label mates. Some of the hooks and shyt he gave out were super dope, others literally felt like leftovers that Top decided to force artists to use to middling results regardless.
