I'm not into the religious angle, it's just one of those things which I've never understood about a lot of people, how they can give it so much priority in their lives when there's no proof. The afterlife is probably like that scene in Goodfellas where Pesci gets made. He enters, looks around, there's nothing “Oh no“.
It obviously bothered me a little bit because I had to mention it, and also the fact that Jigga seems like a phony when he's trying to be spiritual. I feel like Jay E really believes, so i can get into his world more when he talks about that stuff.
But those negatives are personal to me, overall it's a really well crafted, even moving album. Both of them rap really well, especially Jigga, and the production is inventive and sharp. Hopefully Jay Elec does eventually release a proper solo album though.
