Someone mentioned earlier in the thread...could have used a third verse for sure.

:whew:

Think Crooked I said it, but I'm happy with the way it is, I like the concise nature of the album, I think I've listened to it in full well over 40 times now lol. Been on repeat almost constantly.

In the Silver Lining
They both bodied Universal Solider, that beat hard too, perfect fit for the song.

Production is epic sounding.

I know I said it maybe others did too. Just needs a bunch of high quality lyricist to pounce on the beat. :whew:

To really appreciate this album you have to be kinda versed or studied.

It's like a Lupe album.

Jay honestly makes it digestible to your average Hip-hop fans
:laff:
If you have to be versed, studies or reset your ears to like something then it’s trash fam

You can laugh if you want but for the last 15 plus years this generation hip-hop has been very simple, and straight forward "vibes" and melodies.
And this project didn’t change a thing

they should’ve took more time and made a better project instead of this rushed trash

My only gripe is why the industry isn’t this open to receiving projects like this from Nas or Lupe.

It’s like Hov has to be associated with the project for it be well received by the masses (e.g, this album would’ve been trashed if it was just Jay Electronica).

Never claimed it changed anything. I'm just saying it's not easily digestible upon 1st listen or at all if don't have some kind of knowledge of things outside of the street, or trying to catch a vibe, pills, getting high, or chasing women.

Much like Lupe, Royce, and now this, you can hear the difference in sober music with some thought compared to most of what's coming out.

And it's hard to appreciate it without being versed in a variety of things or having knowledge outside of drugs and street stuff.

I can completely understand someone putting this on and not liking it.
