Why would he quit the nepotism lol. Doesn’t it benefit Pop more long term to bring in one of his guys than to just bring in some other player or piss someone off who would never consider playing for SA in the future anyway.

If the NBA season hadn't gone the way it did (injuries, short break, etc) most of our best elite players would've been playing in the Olympics.

A lot of the elite talent throughout the season has either been dealing with injuries or just a bit gassed with how the season went and decided to opt-out to rest and get ready for next season.

I'm not doubting that this team can't win gold but as of now with the way the roster is currently constructed, it's a toss-up.
