BOSTON — If there's one thing we know about Boston Celtics guard Jason Terry now, it's that he can shoot -- literally and figuratively.

During Terry's post-game spiel about Pierce which included the usual references to him being a future Hall of Famer and one of the greatest Celtics ever, Terry took a not-so-veiled dig at former Celtic Ray Allen.

"His (Pierce) willingness to stick through the tough times and not just jump off, 'I'm out of here! I'm going to join forces with Kobe (Bryant),' or 'I'm going to play with Dwyane Wade' -- that's a shot right there," Terry said.

Jason Terry considering Heat

"Miami is definitely a title contender. For sure," Terry told the website when asked whether he'd be interested in joining the Heat. "(Team president) Pat Riley is a great guy and what he's done with the organization is tremendous.

"No question, they need a veteran shooter, a guy who can score besides LeBron (James) and (Dwyane Wade), and they know they can count on. I'm a guy that's been in this league 13 years, (averaging) 15 points a night, easy. Off the bench or the starting lineup, it doesn't matter. So I think I'd be an asset to them."

You know what on 2nd read it sounds like this whore may be throwing shots at the King :birdman:

That's what I'm saying. It's more a shot at dudes like LeBron, Melo, Dwight, etc, than it is Ray. What hard times has Ray gone through in Boston? Pierce was a top player in the league on a bad team, but he stuck through it and had dudes come to him. Ray is a roll player who just chose to go somewhere else...just like Terry. It's a shot at the dudes forming super teams.

That's giving too much credit to Pierce. Free agents weren't lining up to play with him, he was fortunate enough to have competent management to bring in other star players. A luxury LeBron did not have

:whoa: I'm not taking shots, I'm just saying that's what I think Terry's point is.

Before Ray Allen and KG got traded to Boston:
According to a league executive, Paul Pierce has finally told team management that unless the Celtics come out of this week with a talented veteran co-star for him, they should expect him to make a public declaration soon after Thursday's draft that he wants a trade.
