But when interviewed courtside about basketball stuff, Kidd is so gracious & well-informed & articulate & mannerly! He never condescends to the interviewer. He blows them off. His eyes are so calm. Kidd doesn't look excited -- win or lose. AND he acts humble about his long career & his incredible abilities (for a guy his age).
Kidd is probably only uber nasty/aggressive when VERY DRUNK. I know the type.
I have a sweet, gorgeous, soft-spoken, Harvard-educated, level-headed, slender, gay, male hispanic friend who got black-out drunk & burned some shyt down (arson) back in Oct '09. Dude took a break, got dares from drunk ass friends, bought gasoline in order to make it burn BETTER, & evaded law enforcement -- all without sobering up or missing a step! HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT SOBER! The judge didn't stick him with a felony, cuz arson is NOT who he is as a person. u_u Plus, my buddy turned himself in the next day when he woke up & realized why everyone was lookin' for him.

But a 200+ lb tall man who is blacked out drunk & VERY AGGRESSIVE won't just let friends take his keys or call him a cab or drive in his stead. The friends may have felt that he left them only 2 choices: call the cops to stop him from driving or let him drive. Sycophants never deny & thereby infuriate their celeb pal.
