Unlike birth of a nation this film has cac hand prints all over it. Sure some black talents were brought on board but unlike birth of a nation that stemmed directly from black men. Birth of a nation was more than just about the story of Nat Turner it was about black creativity and success branching out and doing something without cacs and that's what they couldn't let be a success hence the relentless attacks as they would never let black independence thrive.

Black Truth is slowly becoming like him which is why I hardly listen to him.

More importantly MANY of you guys forgot this but I remember when Jason Black was making fun of that African girls name(and her looks) who called into his show. Ever since then he has always been suspect to me. Thats why with his beef with Tommy, I considered Tommy more in the "right." Yeah I said that and stand by it.

Like @CashmereEsquire he has a white western influenced attitude when it comes to Africans.

Right off the bat it was critically acclaimed at Cannes with the highest bid for a movie ever at the festival. It was hailed as a master piece that would be controversial and would impact a generation. As well as being a film brought forth by a black man. I can't recall any other black movie having this kind of impact ever or buzz.
