The establishment was touting him as one of the future faces of the party - just as they did Fetterman’s clown ass. Everyone sees clearly in hindsight with these frauds, but few will listen until the con is already locked in. Crockett engages in way too much outright buffoonery and is unserious and leans into spectacle in the face of deeply serious circumstances. That’s why I’m comparing them and how slow people are to realize these are civil servants and not your instagram friends.

Not sure I agree with you on group of black people supporting him initially. Of course there were opportunists and followers that were supporting him but by and large I didn't see it. What I see was many new yorkers tired of the symbolism and the status quo-ish nature of all establishment candidates. Black mainstream media is just an extension of the black bourgeoise and/or sycophants and they have never really been the representative of the black culture and feelings overall in the past decades.

Buffoonery? really? I really don't see it. I see her being unserious on social media with jokes etc., absolutely, but to diminish what she does and verbally stand for when every other black politician are LITERALLY silent on all issues is unfair. She's got some questionable stuff going on but it ain't this. Ryan Grimm wrote in his book about the squad that during her initial run Jasmine was approached by the crypto currency lobby and they basically told her ( I'm paraphrasing) "we can either support you or destroy you". At the time he said she didn't know what crypto was or what it was about and didn't really have a stance on it but because of the threat she signed on to support crypto agenda. I agree with Ryan that it says more about our political system than it does her but It is something you can put a pin in.
