Nothing about his game says "raw shooting guard in a centers body". He's a big man that can catch and shoot
I disagree, ever heard of Jonathan Bender? And while it's a shytty comparison on my end, his nimbleness reminds of shooting guard for some reason, I might be wrong, but I see a lot Jonathan Bender in him.....

Bender was much more perimeter oriented. They both have that lanky frame, but Bender was a long sf that was initially miscast as a big. JJJ is the other way around, a big with some perimeter skills. Not as fluid as Bender out there.

He showed glimpses of a perimeter game at MSU but his offense has came together nicely. And he's not as handsy as he was at the start of the season. Always felt he had the highest upside out of all the bigs in this draft

Bender was extremely light under 220..,JJJ is at least over 235 and looks as if he can put on more weight...He will eventually end up a Center.

:snoop: At Tom Izzo of wasting him the one year he was at MSU

He did overall, but JJJ could not stay on the court due to foul issues, his game even then was more taylored for the NBA, all of that bullshyt he was getting tagged by the refs with in college isnt happening at the NBA level. It wasnt all on Izzo, his hand was forced a bit to be fair.

On top of that MSU doesnt get call favouritism compared to other teams coached by the coach K's and etc. :mjlol: at wasting all of that time to recruit a kid you know is going to be around for just year and not want to play him. Nah...

I'm going to need Memphis to let my breh JJJ go if they're not going to be a serious team. He's wasting away there and could easily be an integral piece to another team on the brink of contending for a title.
