Basically, yes To my knowledge, he has never been on any incarnation of Suicide Squad.

DC is going all in. This will be interesting at least.

They are probably going to do something close to the animated Suicide Squad from earlier this year that featured The Joker in an adversarial role against the Squad.

Leto is a method actor though. He got really thin to play the tranny with AIDS in Dallas Buyers Club and before that he got fat to play Mark David Chapman.

He would do whatever it takes to make his look fit the role of the Joker.

The Joker fit in perfectly as the bad guy in the Assault on Arkham animated movie. Especially fighting with Deadshot over Harley.
