Every option of that is :mjlol:

Ibushi gets a title shot anyway, loses to Naito on night one anyway
Ibushi gets a title shot anyway, beats Naito, loses to Jay White on night two
Ibushi gets a title shot anyway, beats Naito, goes on to beat Jay White on night two
Ibushi gets a title shot anyway, loses to Naito, Naito goes on to beat Jay White on night two
Ibushi gets a title shot anyway, loses to Naito, Naito goes on to lose to Jay White on night two

To me, option 3 would be the most fitting, but all of them have at least two too many steps to get there and are completely unnecessary. This is probably going to be a thing that happens every year as long as they're doing two days of WK. They probably should have just gone with the G1 winner and runner up gets WK title shots baked into the G1 going forward instead of this extra step of fukkery along the way.

I got sidetracked after watching ZSJ v Yano and Shingo v Suzuki from the weekend card.

I just read the rest of the results yesterday.

I've been out of the loop. What is the argument in favor of this Ibushi/Naito/White scenario booking wise?

Like, of course you can love it just based on the fact you might like the matches they will have and be happy with more than 1 of them leaving WK with both belts. But booking wise I'm not sure you can defend making shyt this complicated just because you have a 2 night Tokyo Dome show. It's the same thing we all justifiably shyt on WWE for when they force their booking to fit a gimmick PPV they announced in advance :pachaha:

I don't think there's any argument in favor of this. shyt is just unnecessarily convoluted. It's clear that Gedo has decided that Jay White is the hurdle Ibushi has to overcome. So I'm not sure what the end game is here because it most likely means Ibushi will only get the title by beating Jay White for it, and there's no scenario for that at WK.

So I really think Ibushi on Night 1 is to stat pad Naito before an inevitable loss to Jay on Night 2, then Ibushi wins it of him somewhere before summer 2021.

Dave defends it because there is two dome shows, that's literally it. He says they need two main events and it all ''made sense.'' I've never heard Bryan so exasperated with him :mjlol:

Its over complicated..if they want ibushi to beat white for the big one, either just have white win the g- 1 straight up beat naito and at dominion drop the belt. Or if they wante the whole briefcase scenerio have ibushi go on " redemption or revenge saga that culminates with him beating white at dominion.

All this is due to the fact that the I.C belt is been held hostage for no reason. Either unify them or have naito drop one( at this point is too late)

If u have the I.C belt free, on night 1 the i.c belt main events and night 2 the heavyweight belt.
