I'm an Ibushi fan too, but the signs are there, breh. They got our guy out here still taking random Ls to ZSJ for no real reason. They got him out here being the workhorse in a tag team meant to hide that Tana is DEEP in the flabby and sick portion of his career, and really needs to be out here with Nagata tagging with young lions and shyt. Let's hope they don't spin this out over half a decade and have him win it just so Shota the Gawd takes it off him at a New Years Dash or some shyt.

It was always inevitable that Ibushi would get stuck just like Naito did. It's what happens when you delay your booking for 3 years it was said plenty of times before, WK was either going to be "finally Naito get it's/Naito got fukked again he'll never get it again" or "they went with the hot hand with Ibushi/Kota got Naito'd".
To be fair though, just like Naito, unless he suffers a career ending injury, Kota will get a big title win eventually, will it have the same impact it would've had this year? who knows.
At this point I just hope that once Gedo finally pulls the trigger on Kota, it's not at the expense of delaying Shota

I knew Sasaki was a Choshu protegee but I had no clue he started in All Japan during Ishin Gundan's invasion
always thought he started in New Japan. He had to go through the Dojo though, right? dude was mad young in 87' when Choshu came back and brought Kensuke with him. Stro gave the right answer. To be fair though, only 3 Japanese wrestlers that weren't YL have gotten the big belt: Tenryu, Takayama and Sasaki.
