I've never seen such fukkery. :russ:

Toru Yano is comedy gold. :mjlol:

Been enjoying rest of the tourney so far. Bunch of people who I had no idea who they were but the familiar ones been good and its been enjoyable. Didn't realize that afew of these guys are in like their 40s or later. I saw Gedo fight Okada and learned he's like in his 50s. I knew him as Jay White manager but don't think I've seen him wrestle before. Lot of these old guys been holding it down as much as the young ones.

Another one :wow:

Best fukkery Machine Yano :wow:

Th real CHAOS gawd :wow: and he living his rhymes creating chaos soon as he hit the ring :wow:

Took Naito to roll up city bish :wow:

Beat Cleaner Kenny Omega in his prime :wow:

Beat the current aew champion Moxley and sent him back to the states fearing for his life :wow:

Treated the Ace like he was a young lion :wow:

:ohhh:brehs, was Pro Wrestling NOAH really that hype back in the day? I was stuck more on TNA/UFC so I ain't get the chance to really check it out.

NOAH from its inception until about 2005-2006 or so is some of the best wrestling of that decade. I can see people not liking it if they're burned out on the indie influenced style of today (since a lot of that came from people taking the mechanics of NOAH's style without understanding the history, context, and psychology that made it work), but its definitely worth checking out. If you're interested in where a lot of the initial big stars came from, you may want to read up on the Four Pillars's history in AJPW as well before you dive in.

I first saw him in the G1 last year and all his matches were straight fukkery. The removing of the turnbuckle, taping Moxley and Shoota together, all of that. Prolly most entertaining wrestler they got. :russ:

Do your routine, take almost zero bumps, shill your side projects, and get paid.

Who understands wrestling better than Toru Yano at this point?

thanks, should i check out DDT also?

I would say like 03-06 were like the glory days of NOAH. After that, the decline started happening especially with Misawa dying. Thankfully, they are trying to pick up the pieces due to DDT trying to breathe life back into the promotion.

Breh, what? :dwillhuh:

That's like saying DDT filled the void Michinoku Pro caused in the puro scene :dead:

:francis:Lets keep it a buck, who was really checking for Japanese wrestling after Misawa rolled out of AJPW, Baba dying, the OGs barely keeping up, Inoki losing his fukking mind, and MMA being on the rise?

NOAH at least kept the feeling intact after Bob Sapp had a funny run and Lesnar finesse NJPW.

I read it as you saying NOAH was following Inokism :russ: my bad.

But to be fair, NOAH's biggest mistake was precisely not taking advantage of New Japan's fall in the mid 00's. They had a quick peak for 2-3 years thanks to Kobashi were they basically took over Tokyo as the n°1 promotion. But perception wise they were never THE Japanese wrestling company and when they had to keep their momentum to actually take over...their shytty booking bit them in the ass and never recovered :francis:
