Yeah, the only stables out there were the "good guys", CHAOS and the New Japan army.

Now this is interesting to me because in WWE, I feel like they put kayfabe off to one side and it's like all the cast members coming out at the end of SNL for a retirement.

I respect the commitment to the logic. :obama:

Ishii/Goto vs Shingo/EVIL was crazy dope. :whew:

Kinda shocked to see SANADA get the pin since I was sure he was going to eat it but since practically the entire match was him and Naito getting beat down it still didn't feel like any sort of victory.

What I expect for NJ booking the rest of the year:

Okada is holding the title again by the G1 so he can have it when he carries the torch for the Olympics

Naito isn't holding either belt by the G1, IC dropped probably to Jay White

Shingo will get a win over Okada in the G1, go on to the first of many losses to Okada starting at KOPW.

Ospreay will get moved up to heavyweight but stay in the NEVER division anyway

After Naito drops the IC title, Sanada will get moved to that division but probably not win it by the end of 2020

Ibushi will get the 2017-2019 Naito treatment

Takuya Nomura challenging Daichi for the Strong Heavyweight belt on February in Osaka. Don't think he wins it but it might be a build for Young Gawd to win the Strong Climb and win the belt in a rematch. At least that's what I'm hoping :damn: :feedme:

Abe is challenging Yuya Aoki for the Jr. belt in Korakuen in February too. That match could be a BANGER if Aoki shows up to fight :ohlawd:

So i was thinking about it but except for last year and Omega leaving immediately after, has ANYONE but Tanahashi successfully converted a G1 win into a Wrestle Kingdom title change? I cant remember anyone else doing it since it started.

Nope. They started doing the G1 Wrestle Kingdom Contract back in 2012.

Only Tanahashi has successfully converted and I feel like that was only because Omega was had barely wrestled after winning the title and was leaving anyway.

You know, MiSu is a freelancer, I'd love to see AEW bring him in and see him beat the shyt out of Marko/Darby/Janela but have Orange Cassidy absolutely confound him.
