Was the match at least good?

Yes. Went a bit over 30 minutes.

I think the Jay White win was to have an English speaking champ available to do media for the WM weekend show, and to get Naito over as the world saving babyface by beating him. It would give Naito the distinction of being able to do something that neither Okada or Tanahashi could do recently. Based on the commentary from the last few shows, a Naito title win seems to be in the very near future.

Yeah, they're pushing that double champion thing pretty hard on commentary. I hope they don't jump to that too soon though. Unlike most people, I think Jay is decent. Would like to see him get a few defenses in before Naito goes at him. But really, there isn't anyone other than Naito to challenge him at this point.

I mean they had to put the belt on Jay White. They top dogs gone, gotta create more stars, plus the show literally called a new beginning. Plus he the perfect heel for Naito to chase: smarmy, arrogant prick who don’t deserve the title or be the leader of the biggest faction in pro wrestling. His title win is perfect business. Then, if the Jay White Experiment flop, u can always put the belt on Naito OR back on Okada or Tanahashi.
