Daichi about to get the BJW Strong Title, can't wait for his defense against Daisuke in 2018
Always enjoy these Little Ingobernable moments
Saw him at a ROH/NJPW show in manhattan last year. spent the 20 to see him and take a picture before the show. the guy was mad chill and was super patient, my camera was fukking up and i wanted my fukking picture. Let me hold the belt and errthing. seems like a good ass dude.
I got a problem with Baby Hash. He still doesn't have a "thing" yet in his work. He's been blessed by gods, especially layout god Dice-K in how to put a match together and can be involved in some great stuff, but does so almost in spite of himself. He's doing the kicks, but he's only doing those because his pops did those. His whole offense really is just a patchwork of his pops mandem. He wears his influences way too much. Breh doesn't even have his own nickname yet.Title match was better than their first encounter for the belt but it was still pretty meh. Hearing that music with the young breh having that belt on his shoulders had me a little though, the spirit of Hash the GAWD is still alive.
6 man was fun, too long and the ending came out of nowhere.
Nothing I would make any effort to watch to be honest.

I'll watch him in like 2 straight bangers and then check a third and it's a mediocre borderline snoozefest, as without the right crowd and the right opponent he can come off as just a competent indy nerd.
The other three brehs in that semi might pass him up in the next year or so just off the strength of developing their own identities.
All true. He gotta get it going, though. For years he was basically the only young heavy of note on the scene. Now in the past two years you got a crop of dudes popping up who look set for some great things.Yup, that's why right now Daichi is way better at tags than singles. What's weird is that he shows way more fire and "personality" in tags, sometimes he comes off as a totally different performer in singles.
He's very incomplete as a wrestler, my only hope is he has been getting better. It's just that his progress has been waay more slow than expected/should be. Three years from now, when Daichi has a couple of title reigns and runs in different places - mainly because he's good enough and has a name - we'll have more of a definitive look. But he definitely needs to take a leap as a performer.

Also, low key, Jun's work in AJPW, both with booking and developing these young HW's has him climbing up my personal GOAT rankings even more. When it's all said and done his impact on the game will be indelible.
That sounds a lot like his dad, tbh. For every classic or two, you'd have a "wtf why is this match so weird and boring" when Hashimoto was at his peak. Hashimoto was definitely not nearly as consistent as Chono or Mutoh were in that regard.
Yeah I thought the Evil gimmick was the stupidest thing ive ever seen in the beginning but he has really been booked well enough to run with itWatching Road to Tokyo.
Suzuki is so OD evil. Cut a chunk out of a young boy's hair because he couldn't get at Goto. Dude really is the Wrestling game Gargamel

Exactly. Its so impossibly stupid that i have to laugh at it now. The face paint is the best part. Hes like a 80's cartoon villainEVIL is still laughably stupid tbh, but he's decent enough to overlook how over the top silly his gimmick/look/naming conventions are. This breh really named his finisher EVIL. When his name is EVIL. Everything is EVIL.
