The G1 pretty much kills anything in Japan for me after August every year even cutting it down to 20 matches or so. I can't imagine the poor souls who watch every show of the G1, BOTSJ, and World Tag League start to finish. Let alone if you also add in AJPW's Champions Carnival and Real World Tag League. Literally watching all of the shows of any of the 5 is brutal and will absolutely burn you out. I think BJW has a summer tournament as well, right? :beli:
Yeah I got suuuper burnt out this summer. There's just so much content out nowadays. It's important to treat watching wrestling as a break, not what your whole day revolves around.

There's way, way, way too much shyt available right now. There is something nuts like 15 different wrestling streaming services. Plus the shyt on TV, which depending where you are in the US can be WWE, NJPW, ROH, TNA, Lucha Underground, and Championship Wrestling From Hollywood, plus other genuinely local shows. Then you add in easily found footage going back to the 40s and 50s-today on youtube, things like Real Hero and AJPW archives, there is literally more shyt than any one person could watch in a lifetime easily available in 30 seconds.

But you'll still try, hah

How much alcohol do you think you've consumed watching wrestling? :russ:

I mean, there's no need to watch all that stuff at the same time. We all know Puro season gets in a lull in September-December, that's four months to catch on stuff you didn't have time to in January and June-August.

For the most part I usually background noise the filler matches and tune into the legit matches in every promotion. Folks trying to go all the way in are nuts. You start to see the same spots and start to see why WWE don't put house shows onto the Network because it would be redundant, with the exception of the fukkery that comes with house shows. For the most part, here's what I usually watch on a Puro level:

  • Peter Pan
  • Judgement
  • G1
  • Wrestle Kingdom (Of course)
  • New Year's Dash
  • The CMLL/NJPW show
  • Invasion Attack
  • KOPW
Everything else gets the background bored on a Sunday treatment:manny:

Folks sleep on the Tag Leagues:mjcry:

Even though majority of the shows are meh, the chemistry with some of those pairings are top notch.

I watch All Japan and Big Japan tag leagues :manny:

Could care less about New Japan's, never have to be honest, even when I was all in with their product.
