Peter Pan show is already in XWT, I'll wait for single matches links though. Only interested in the main event.

New Japan announced it's next big shows cards. I'm gladly surprised by them, a lot of people can come out of the coming months looking like a bigger deal and putting themselves in position to be a bigger player in 2018. I also liked what he did with the Korakuen shows. It's a solid step forward, I just hope he doesn't take three step backwards once the "down season" ends, still, he wasn't lazy this time around so he deserves props :ehh:

They are putting HUGE hope on Kenny - and Juice for that matter - for the Kobe World Hall show. That's a big ass building they have to fill with a pretty weak card. But I like they are taking a chance with them. Hopefully the stable feuds pick up some steam and aren't filler tags too.

The Traps of Unified Korea
Okada taking September off lmao
He's booked on all those September cards family :heh:

There's no title defense until KOPW because that's simply been the case largely since Gedo got the book.

Looking forward to those elimination tags. Damn shame we didn't get a big one when AJ was around. BC with AJ v CHAOS with Naka in a big captains fall match would have been amazing

That's the one takeway of that whole post? :comeon:

At least he made them do interesting shyt in Korakuen, shyt might be heated just by that alone :manny:

Yeah, actually. Not particularly interested in seeing a bunch of G1 rematches and I don't know what this Peter Pan thing is. The idea of Gedo booking a stable feud and not having it be endless random tags is lol, though.

??? There's a million shows going on in Japan all the time.

DDT's Peter Pan show is their "Wrestlemania", since 2009 they've booked Sumo Hall (and Budokan Hall once) with impressive results. Except for this year, it's been the biggest "free lance/indy" puro event on the calendar.

Oh. I never paid attention to DDT outside of random clips of Ibushi doing wacky shyt.

Konosuke Takeshyta vs Tetsuya Endo - Ryogoku Peter Pan 2017

This was worked very similarly to Okada/Omega I and II, where they spend the first third of the match working a body part and making you think it's gonna be a focused match, but after a certain point they just shrug everything off and start doing a proper spotfest with some crazy shyt and good near falls. Crowd was fukking DEAD for most of the first half though, so whatever they were going for didn't work at all. Once they went full on spotfest they woke everyone up and had them reacting at every bomb. An enjoyable match, I'm sure a lot of people will find it very good-to-great, but it wasn't the "next generation showcase" I was hoping for. Takeshyta has to have the best offense in wrestling right now imo, I keep waiting for a classic for him, I hope I get it soon.
